Our Mission
The Middle School 8 is working towards the cooperative learning in the students. The students are guided to apply real-life concepts. They are taught to use technology in their work as we promote smart learning. Many activities are performed to engage students and prepare them for college and careers.
Our Vision
Middle School 8 aims to see its students as critical thinkers who can manage their lives in any situation. The students are prepared to meet the challenges of the 21st century and will become ambassadors of their learning.
Principal’s Message
The location of Middle School 8 is Jamacia, New York. Middle School 8 has one secret known as The Best Kept Secret in Queens. The secret is that every student will succeed in life despite any difficulties in the life. The school supports each student to discover their hidden talents and develop the potential for a good career. The curriculum at Middle School 8 is diverse and helps in the creation of talented students.
Middle School 8 has developed the path toward academic excellence. We focus on youth development. We are working on the concept of the development of the whole child. In the school, there is an additional hour of instruction each day to help students in their academics. The 08th class scholars receive the Regents classes.
The students of the 08th class are taught 09th-grade Algebra and 09th-grade Environmental Science. Middle School 8 also offers Arts in Education. This concept joins the concept of arts with academics. The school focuses on an interdisciplinary approach to meet the diverse needs of the students. In our school, we teach students to apply real-life concepts in classrooms. The school uses cooperative learning.
Many engaging activities are done along with the use of technology to prepare the students for the future. The student learn the concept of critical thinking and they start applying critical thinking in their real life. The students can enter the high school of their choice.

Middle School 8 is associated with partners like Southern Queens Park Association, Inc (SQPA). Middle School 8 is a BEACON school. SQPA was established in 1976. The organization aims to develop comprehensive programs for children, adults, youth, families, and seniors. The organization is offering its services to 1200 members each year. SQPA is just like a community hub. The people can access the following services at SQPA.
